Erin Vernon

Erin Vernon joined the Brown & Curry team as Of Counsel in spring 2018. She has won numerous trials and arbitrations and is thrilled to be combining her enthusiasm for psychology and litigation as she passionately advocates for victims of discrimination, retaliation, personal injury, harassment and abuse.

Erin is dedicated to building strong relationships with her clients as they creatively attack challenging legal problems and fight for justice. Through her employment law practice, Erin represents employees who have been discriminated against and harassed because of their sex, race, disability, age and nationality as well as whistleblowers and targets of retaliation. Erin has also obtained favorable results for victims of nursing home negligence, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, dog bites, abuse, medical malpractice, wrongful death and catastrophic injury.

Erin received her B.S. in Journalism with an Emphasis in Strategic Communications and B.A. in Psychology, both with highest distinction, from The University of Kansas in 2007. In 2011, she earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law and M.A. in Psychology from Duke University Graduate School.

While at KU, Erin began exploring her interest in jury, judicial and political psychology. Before beginning her post-graduate education at Duke, Erin spent two years working for Litigation Insights, a premier litigation consulting firm where she traveled the country coordinating for than 30 mock trials, deliberation groups and shadow juries and conducted related qualitative and quantitative analysis while immersing herself in litigation-related social science research.

Erin is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and local bar associations.  She was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2019.
